New from Infancy Designs…
Cotton knit cardigans and jumpers in Navy and Pink. Simply perfect for this in-between weather! Sizes 1-4years available in store and online.

Nothing I like better than a collage. Someone showed me how to do "screen shot" last week and I'm practising.
I don’t know about you, but I’m freezing! Good news is I am rugged up on the couch, refusing to go to the gym, wearing fingerless gloves and typing furiously to keep the blood circulating in my fingers. At Infancy this week, we have plenty of things to keep you warm, including beanies, cardigans, jumpers, trousers, puffa jackets, and plenty of long sleeved tops. For babies we also have a great selection of warm Winter day wear and plenty of snuggly sleep suits for night times. And, yes there’s more, blankets, ugg boots, slipper socks and suede boots. Also, I can’t remember whether I’ve already said but Purebaby sleeping bags are in. Get em while they’re hot! If only they came in my size…
So what if I was so busy at work on Saturday, that there wasn’t a single second to snap some pics of the products, like I promised I would in last weeks blog? So what if I said I spent all today re-jigging the stores after such a busy weekend and I still didn’t have a minuscule moment to take some shots? For what its worth, I’m sorry. But never mind, I seem to have found other opportunities in the time space continuum to take more…
So… this week at Infancy, we are all about everything soft and cuddly. Soft colours and cuddly toys. Beanies, cardigans, mittens and blankets and a whole lot of BUNNIES! (Maybe a few Lions too, just for variety)
Toshi beanies have arrived, in some seriously lovely colours. Muted tones and interesting patterns seem to be a theme this season. And to keep those little itty bitty fingers warm, mittens! And to keep those itty bitty fingers busy during Easter lunch, Alimrose squeakers!
Also on display this week, pastels… I fall in and out of love with pastels. One week I’m all “ooh and ahh”, the next, “get it away from me”! This week, I’m all “whatever goes”! Especially with the happy news of another little arrival in my circle of friends! Calming and quiet creams, whites, aquas, pinks, lilacs and effervescent yellow!
Our first Easter window is up, lolloping in its own happiness. Our crafty queen Victoria, has hand made divine Easter bunting especially for each store, with coloured and patterned papers and ribbon.
And last but not least. Shoes. We’ve pretty much got the full gamut now. We have pre-walkers from Old Soles and Tip Toey Joey, four styles from each, two for boys and two for girls, and for Winter… booties! We have brown and red leather fur-lined booties to keep the coldest of feet warm. AND for the big kids canvas slip-ons and mary janes, suede desert boots, leather loafers from Walnut. Not to mention, ugg boots, gumboots, and slipper socks. Having said that, they have all been pretty popular in the last few weeks, so if we don’t have the size you need please leave your details with us and we will endeavour to get them in.
So glad to be sitting on my couch right now. I’m mean, Adelaide was a blast but so much effort! All that partying and dressing up and meeting exciting people and going out to dinner and getting on planes. Wow. It really takes it out of you. I feel like a year has passed. And stepping back into the stores today I nearly thought it had!
So many wonderful things have come in, while I was away..
Ugg Boots
More Purebaby (all in ones, cardigans, leggings, beanies, pyjamas)
More Ouch clothing and pyjamas, including puffer jackets, babywear and a few styles in sizes 8-10
Comforters
Skip Hop backpacks and designer nappy bags
A new style of baby sling
A new baby record book (seriously lovely)
New stock from Aden and Anais
More Wrap me up sizes
New hats and shoes from Skeanie
Two new dresses from Pea in the Pod maternity.
I went around the stores and literally snapped a photo of every display I saw. Each one more beautiful than the next! Enjoy.
Oh January, you crazy month! Rain, sunshine, tropical thunderstorms, the Sydney Festival, children everywhere traveling in packs, exhausted parents, sweltering expectant mothers pacing the streets, less cars on the road… What a dream come true!! Although, there is an unpleasant lack of good coffee shops open, within walking distance of the shop. Starting to dream about coffee.
This week at Infancy it is well and truly a new year. New stock, new directions, new adventures! (As you can tell, I’m trying to stay positive) We have a Sapling promotion, to accompany the new stock, simply ‘like’ Sapling child and Infancy on facebook and go in the draw to win a Sapling baby gift pack! And who wouldn’t want that! Their products are GORGEOUS! Soft organic fabrics, sensible sizing and divine prints. Where do I enter?….
As mentioned on facebook, a new range of toddler clothing, called Crochet Bambini, has arrived in store. (You can see them hanging on the rack in the back of the above photo) Cute cute cute crochet vest and coats, crochet bloomers and some seriously cuddly toys. My favourites are the lion and monkey! But any of the toys would a make a great addition to a baby gift.
30% off Maternity clothing continues in store, with a good range of sizes still left. I assume it’s pretty hot and awkward being pregnant and in a fitting room, but do pop in and try something on, only then will you know just how comfortable and versatile this range is.
This week we’ve received a little top up order from Ouch. It’s mainly styles for babies but there were a few of scarves for big kids! These lovely warm cardigans are back, in sizes 00 and 0, perfect over a onesie or with jeans etc. The colours we have are biege and navy, both of which could be for a boy or a girl. Even though we are nearly through Winter they could still be worn into Spring over dresses or cord trousers. That would be one super cute boho baby!
In other news, more crocheted blankets have arrived from Alimrose and Pebble and Ding-A-Ring Australian animal rattles are back, just in time for your next new baby present emergency.
P.S. Also, don’t forget to get those photos up on facebook for our photo competition. Entries close on Saturday 25th June! See our facebook page for more details.
I’ve been told it’s gonna get pretty cold and wet over the next few days. I’ve just dashed from the car back to my house in the rain and am bitterly dissapointed, that the clogs I’ve been happily sporting over the last few days of sunny autumn, are now wet and manky. It’s back to boots for this week. I’m now indulging in a cheeky afternoon coffee, which is sure to have me lying awake until the early hours planning my dream nursery, like the crazy loon I am. The dog has plopped his sorry wet bottom on his pile of doggy blankets and is rubbing his way along the floorboards, sharing his mustiness around the house. How idyllic.
Enough about me. At Infancy this week, we’ve got our very own stairway to heaven. Last week, after waxing lyrical about the Purebaby cardigans that had just arrived, and how they were so “divine”, I awoke at 4am with a clear image of flying angel babies in my head for next weeks window. And here they are!
A special thankyou to the boss’s daughter, for graciously loaning us her own baby doll for the week. There she is “starring” on bottom right of this picture, keeping our other cherub company.
And about that rain, we’ve got plenty of raincoats and gumboots in stock, with most sizes in Ouch and Penny Scallan, and to match the funky new Hatley pyjamas, all the way from Canada, we’ve also got raincoats and umbrellas.
