It seems like just yesterday I was singing the praises of Sunday. Well, I suppose it was the day before yesterday. Either way, there just isn’t enough hours in the day to get it all done! By ‘it’ I mean, all this life stuff. There’s just so much life to do! It’s just life, life, life, 24/7. It’s exhausting! God, forbid I throw a baby into the mix! I don’t know how you guys do it!! Practise, I suppose and a lot of wine? That’s just a guess.

All that partying and dressing up and meeting exciting people and going out to dinner and getting on planes. Wow. It really takes it out of you. I feel like a year has passed. And stepping back into the stores today I nearly thought it had!

I went around the stores and literally snapped a photo of every display I saw.  Each one more beautiful than the next! Enjoy.

Love hearts. My mum told me that when I was little I would always say ‘love hearts’, never just hearts. Everyone had ‘love hearts’ inside them and Grandpa died of a ‘love heart attack’ etc… And today I’ve seen love hearts everywhere! In the shop windows, including ours, in the little smiling faces of the babies and children who’ve come into visit, and last week, I saw slightly crazed love hearts, in the eyes of all the mums snapping up bargains during the sale. Ah, love.

This week my love heart is thumping for all the new stock coming through the doors. There are some seriously beautiful things in all of the ranges that has arrived so far. Ouch knitwear is going to be hot property this season, I can feel it. Our first drop of Purebaby is flying out the door already. I nearly wept over a pair of knit leggings with a customer last week, they were just too cute! Love, as always, goes to Penny Scallan rain jackets in stars, cars and apples, for making even the rainiest days just that little bit brighter. And I’ve got a huge crush on the new Walnut Desert boots. I practically fall over myself every time I see them in store.

I think I just blushed thinking about them! Oh dear. Better go and make dinner.

Wow! Another day done. We’re up to day two of our spectacular Summer clearance sale and I’m absolutely pooped. I don’t know about you but I’d like to spend a few hours sitting in a quiet, dark room, by myself, sipping luke-warm water and finding some “inner peace”. I suppose I’ll make it through… Besides there’s only 3 days to go!

That’s right! Only 3 days left to snap up some serious summer bargains! I spent most of today explaining to our lovely awestruck customers, “that yes, that entire wall of clothes is 50% off the marked price, and yes, it’s sounds too good to be true, but it is!” And the rest of the day oogling at all the gorgeous little babies people had brought shopping. So cute! Please bring more babies, it keeps morale high!

My dog has completely given up on going to the park. Instead he sits morosely on his cushion on the back of the couch, staring wistfully out the window. I don’t blame him. It’s pretty dreary out there. Today I ferried the new deliveries from store to store, battling wet roads, minimal visibility and absolutely no parking spaces in Annandale, whilst trying to keep the stock from getting wet.

We received Wheelie Bug ride-ons, the infamous Make me Iconic Sydney Ferries, Gimmo Night lights, Mini Monkey Slings and wooden Babushka dolls. We also got some more Jacob and Bonomi blankets which seem to be flying out the door. Although, I’m not surprised considering the sudden drop in temperature.

Anyway, I’m off to get my wellies on and take this depressed little dog for a very wet walk. Wish me luck.
