Spotlight on Rozelle

Some of you may be familiar with Infancy’s Rozelle store. But time and time again, when talking to customers at Annandale or Newtown, Rozelle comes into conversation and people tend to stare at me blankly. “What!?, you have a store in Rozelle? How long has it been there?” Ah… about three years.

So I thought I’d give you a little photo tour our little Infancy outpost on the Peninsula.

This weeks musical window, lets rock n roll!

Despite its bite-sized premises it’s easy to find what your looking for and perfect for perambulating around when you want to browse. A lot of mums and dads pop in when bub is asleep in the pram, so they can scout things out in quiet calm.

Our diverse selection of wooden and educational toys.

There’s heaps of great gift ideas for newborns to toddlers and even older children will find something to amuse them! Our friendly staff are always happy to help you find what your after even if you have no idea where to start.

Our selection of babwear and pre-walker shoes, including all your favourite brands like Infancy Designs, Purebaby, Bluebird and Honey, Tip Toey Joey and Old Soles.

We’ve got great newborn gifts too, like hats, wraps, nappy bags, Grobags, Wrap Me Ups, change mats, baby skin care, blankets, all selected with the modern parent in mind. We also have a lovely range of maternity clothes from Due, Pea in the Pod and Fertilemind jeans.

Boyswear from Ouch, Kiniki, Hatley, Freshbaked and Infancy Designs.

Of course there’s our vast selection of clothing for toddlers to 7 year olds, and some brands are now stretching to 8, 10 and 12 years! Boys and girls will be thrilled, mums and dads too, with the different styles, brands, colours of our kids clothes, varying from easy comfy basics to more dressy options.

Radical reds and navys suit most kids down to the ground.

And best of all you can actually park in Rozelle!! Well maybe not on the main street, but there are heaps of parks down side streets, and even some unlimited spots. There’s also two sets of markets on the peninsula to fill the rest of your day, Rozelle Markets at Rozelle Public School and the organic food markets, down the road at Orange Grove Public. And if you still haven’t had your fill there’s a million great cafes to chose from and Adriano Zumbo around the corner. (you may have to queue!) Then another good kilometer of shops down in Balmain!

Come and Visit us at 584 Darling st Rozelle, NSW 2039. (Just opposite the Sackville Hotel at the first roundabout)

Or give us a call on (02)9555 5080.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm

Saturday 9.30am – 5pm

Sundays 10am- 3pm

Hope to see you soon! xx

New soft soled shoes just in!

Frayed Knot soft soled shoes $32 a pair.

They’re called Frayed Knot… “frayed knot”, get it? I’m afraid it’s a terrible pun, but the shoes are excellent so the brand name is irrelevant. And for $32 a pair, you just can’t argue with that kind of value! Especially when babies chew/wear through shoes at a rate of knots. Knots, ha, funny. Now I’m making my own silly puns. Someone get me away from the computer!!

The sizes available are 0-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-18 months. Perfect for crawlers, cruisers and new walkers! They also make an excellent winter slipper for getting around the house, and are often able to be shoved over a footed onesie if the fabric isn’t to bulky. These shoes are all leather, a nice thick but very soft leather, with suede sole. And can be worn with or without socks. There’s four designs (as shown above) aeroplanes, cherries, elephants and monkeys.

All of our stores have them in stock, so give us a call if you want to reserve some, or pop in and try some on. Or if you can’t get into the stores to visit, you should be able to order them online very soon.

Raining and pouring… again… :-(

I’ve been told it’s gonna get pretty cold and wet over the next few days. I’ve just dashed from the car back to my house in the rain and am bitterly dissapointed, that the clogs I’ve been happily sporting over the last few days of sunny autumn, are now wet and manky. It’s back to boots for this week. I’m now indulging in a cheeky afternoon coffee, which is sure to have me lying awake until the early hours planning my dream nursery, like the crazy loon I am. The dog has plopped his sorry wet bottom on his pile of doggy blankets and is rubbing his way along the floorboards, sharing his mustiness around the house. How idyllic.

Enough about me. At Infancy this week, we’ve got our very own stairway to heaven. Last week, after waxing lyrical about the  Purebaby cardigans that had just arrived, and how they were so “divine”,  I awoke at 4am with a clear image of flying angel babies in my head for next weeks window. And here they are!

The miracle of fishing line.

A special thankyou to the boss’s daughter, for graciously loaning us her own baby doll for the week. There she is “starring” on bottom right of this picture, keeping our other cherub company.

And about that rain, we’ve got plenty of raincoats and gumboots in stock, with most sizes in Ouch and Penny Scallan, and to match the funky new Hatley pyjamas, all the way from Canada,  we’ve also got raincoats and umbrellas.

Hatley Space ships and robots raincoat with red lining.
Hatley pink ponies raincoat with soft cream lining.

Purebaby top-up just in!

First in best dressed. That’s how the saying goes, and that’s pretty much how it’s going to be. My pick is this simple grey hoodie, in sizes 000-0, with matching trackie-dacks. Also, a lovelly selection of zip up all in ones, for boys and girls and a unisex grey cotton knit vest.

Sizes 000-0

Oh, and just when I thought Purebaby couldn’t get any better, with it’s versatile designs, hard wearing, ultra soft 100% organic cotton and unbelievable prices; I had to get to the dictionary out and find more adjectives to  try and describe just how utterly divine these little cardigans are! Available in pale pink, pale blue and the sought after white, they are the absolute bomb. A bouquet of gorgeousness!

Cute...

Cuter...

Cutest!!!

Mid- Season Make Over

I’ve just flopped on to the couch… exhausted!! Today we gave Annandale a mid-season make over. It took all day and three hard working Infancy team members but it was worth it! It looks beautiful.

New Grobags!

It’s always a constant battle between old and new. Finding ways to feature both our core Infancy items and new products is tough but rewarding. For instance, when someone comes in and is instantly bowled over by our fresh window display or a delicate blanket they’ve never noticed before, it’s just wonderful to be able to visually inspire and surprise them. Although, arranging things in an organised and easily accessible way is often the hardest.

"Pink, pink, pink, it's all she'll wear..."

New in this week are Hatley pyjamas all the way from Canada. Styles for both boys and girls and also a small run of onesies. We’ve put them in this weeks window. I tried to take a picture but the sun kept reflecting off the glass and the gorgeous pjs were overshadowed by Annandale traffic. Also from Hatley, raincoats and umbrellas.

Big news though… we’ve got GROBAGS!!! OMG! That’s right TOG rated Grobags which come with mini thermometers. You asked and we delivered.. So come and get ‘em.

Our boudoir backroom...

Skip Hop Pronto change mats arrived in red, black, multi-coloured stripe and grey mod print. Also Owl Zoo backpacks are back on the floor. Here’s a snap of our middle rooms new blackboard wall. Cool as.

Shoes, Socks and Skip Hop

One final thing… sorry about the weird layout of the last couple of blogs, our new bloggy program has some very interesting formating pre-set thingys that I’m still trying to wrestle with.

Status Update…

Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to at Infancy this week. Toshi beanies are in so we’ve put together all the warmest  softest, cuddliest products we could find. Like Miniminks, Bla Bla Knitted toys and Old Shoes Winter Boots. How luxurious!

Got a thing for animals? Lions, tigers and bears, maybe an elephant or two? Well you’re gonna need an ARK! Wooden Noah’s Arks complete with lots of pairs of animals, are back in. There’s also a few of the soft variety, which make a fantastic travel toy as it can be stuffed in a bag easily, or as a present to post. Also on show are, Bluebird and Honey Cord and Denim Jackets. Fully lined these jackets are comfy and roomy. They come in sizes 1-5 years and are $59.95. There’s also matching pants, which make great park/play pants. Although they’re only sizes 1-3 years. Just so you know…

Keep checking up on our Facebook fan page as there’s heaps of great specials to come!

P.S. New stock of Serafine maternity jeans have arrived.

P.P.S. Also Lil’ Fraser wraps are back!

P.P.S. And, one more thing, Tortellini cushions have also arrived!

The Whole Hog…

We’ve gone the whole hog at our house. The bed has been remade at haste with 2 more blankets and an electric blanket, the couch is covered in woolly throw rugs and we’re wandering around in fluffy socks, beanies, scarves and polar fleece jumpers. It’s pathetic really, considering we live in Sydney, sunny, tropical Sydney, but anything to avoid turning the heaters on.

Despite being driven crazy by the cold and the fact that I can’t work out all the colour and formatting buttons for this blog, as we’ve upgraded to something supposedly “more user friendly”, I’m soooooo excited about winter at Infancy!

Our Facebook month of madness continues to be completely mad, with countless littlies now toasty warm, swathed in the specials we’ve had so far, like Infancy puffer jackets and Bluebird and Honey penguin P.J.s. I expect everyone to know their ABCs by the end of the week with the help of their new Alphabet flash cards! And its not to late to join in the craziness, just click on the Facebook link at the top of the Blog page and find out whats on special each day of May!

Here’s a peek at a lovelly outfit we put together this week. Modern, pretty and practical!

Ouch Khaki Bomber Jacket $69.95

Ouch Cream Dress with Embroidery Detail $69.95

Ouch Skinny Denim Jeans $58.50

Oooh its cold in here!

Winter is here. I’m calling it. I regressed to shorts and a singlet on the weekend which lasted for about an hour and then the sun went away and I got real and went back to jeans and a jumper. Sad… Oh well!

Our Facebook promotion is going great guns. That’s right!  We’ve got, at last glance, 101 friends! Yes I know, not many in the Facebook world where your 15 year old daughter has like 1500 friends, but we’re getting there and able to share all the amazing new things we get in as they arrrive with 101 more people. Yay!

I can’t wait to find out what tomorrows special is! How exciting!

In other news, the Timbertop toys Garbage trucks are back in! And Australia’s favourite toy of the year Flatout Bears. And a new range of baby linen called Mizzle. This range features practical items like face washers and hooded towels and also these cuddly security toys.

These face washers are so soft, a great size and come in a set of three for only $14.95. Unbelievable!

Get ready for May! A month of Social Media madness!
