This week we’re featuring three of our very favourite wraps, to help soothe the tired baby. As every mum out there knows, there is no right or wrong way to wrap, except the one that works for you.
A relatively new product on the market, Wrap Me Up, is one of those products that is so devilishly simple you wonder why no one thought of it before. Essentially, they have taken a sleeping bag, combined it with a wrap and created a sleeping wonder. However, the devil really is in the details. Two of my favourite details about this product is that you can wrap your baby with with arms up along side their head (so many mothers speak of their little ones punching their way out of wraps) and that they have designed it so you can clip them into the car through the wrap. Best of all, made from 100% jersey cotton, the Wrap Me Up is suitable for all year round. As far as muslin wraps go, Aden & Anais are our top pick. They are a lovely big 120cm x 120cm to keep even the most enthusiastic baby tucked in and are super-soft and delicate but extremely durable. Best of all the more you wash them (they can even go in the dryer) the softer they get. They are the ultimate in versatility, perfect for wrapping but also as a play mat, nursing cover, burp cloth and stroller shade. Last but certainly not least, if you’ve been around a maternity hospital lately you’ve probably heard of the Lil Fraser wraps. Made of 100% jersey cotton and a lovely big 120cm x 120cm these wraps have developed a bit of a cult following. They didn’t invent the stretchy wrap but they are certainly a lovely incarnation of it.
